The exact year of release is uncertain, and it may have been a one-off handprint by Nigo[1], but the T-shirt features artwork which was also used during the Worldwide Bapeheads Show 1998 and on the James VS Nigo T-shirt, both from 1998. The style of the design, with its large black and white print is similar to other created by Bape in 2000.[2]
The Mo' Wax 21 book refers to the T-shirt as "JL", and notes it is a "Limited-edition hand-screened T-shirt by A Bathing Ape" designed by Nigo, and released in 2002.
Nigo is seen wearing the t-shirt in the December 2000 issue of Asayan Magazine.[3]
