DJ set tour by DJ Shadow, James Lavelle & DJ Krush | |
Location | Japan |
---|
The Battle Royal tour took DJ Shadow, James Lavelle, and Futura2000[1] to Japan to tour with DJ Krush across nine cities[2]. The tour continues to be the largest tour of Japan by DJ Shadow. [3]
A flyer with the full tour dates and lineup mentions James Lavelle, DJ Shadow, DJ Krush, United Future Organization, Monday Michiru, Mondo Grosso, Katsura Moshino, and visuals by Futura 2000.
The tour was also featured in the July 1995 issue of Japanese Magazine Remix.[4]
DJ Krush told Muzik Magazine graffiti artist Futura was also on the tour, "Futura is a big name graffiti artist and a hip hop great. He's been doing the artwork for my Mo' Wax releases, which I'm really happy about. The fact that he came over to Japan with James Lavelle and DJ Shadow for the Mo' Wax tour earlier this year meant a lot to me. He's a real nice, funny, mad guy - a brilliant guy. I want him to stay the way he is forever."[5]
