Basiks was held on the first Friday of each month from June 7 1996 - Dec 6 1996. It featured James Lavelle, Mark Broom, D'Afro and special guests. The first month's special guest was DJ Shadow. Basiks was also the name of a radio program hosted by James Lavelle on GLR 94.9FM, the predecessor to BBC London Radio.
